So back in August, I came across a group on Facebook called Tea & Tots. I quickly learned that it was a free for all ‘mommy’ group here in town who meet every Wednesday morning during the school year. Since I had yet to meet any other moms and Amy had yet to meet other babies, I knew it was something that I wanted to check out. When that first Wednesday in September came around, I told myself that despite being super shy I would ‘suck it up’ and take Amy out for some socializing. She LOVED it! She was only just about 3.5 months old that very first time, but it was really cool to see how interested she was in all the other babies and toddlers. All she did for the entire time we were there was sit on my lap and stare at the other little ones with this look of wonder on her face.
I have been taking Amy to Tea & Tots as often as I can (only missing a few weeks due to appointments and a cold) and have really been enjoying it so far. I’ve met some great moms and Amy’s even made a few friends – it’s adorable!!! As she’s getting ‘older’ she’s beginning to interact in new ways playing with toys and reaching for the other babies. It’s been really need to see how she’s grown and to see how much she really loves that environment.
So now onto the main point of this post… 😉
A couple of weeks ago, it was suggested that we do a cookie exchange! I had never done a cookie exchange before, so I signed myself right up and started baking away.
NINE dozen cookies later and I was done!!!
Today was our last Tea & Tots meeting for the year and the official exchange day.
*shout out to any Tea & Tots moms who may be reading!! Thanks for stopping by!!* 🙂
HOLY COOKIES BATMAN!!!
Whomever thought up the idea of a cookie exchange is a genius!!! I only had to bake 1 type of cookie and came home with all of this! I really don’t have to do anymore holiday baking if I didn’t want too….. but of course there are still the household ‘favourites’ that I promised I would make. This still is a great start to the holiday cookie collection! When I think about it though, it actually makes me a little sad that I won’t be able to participate next year since I’ll be back at work.. 😦
Regardless, I feel very lucky to have found such a great ‘mommy’ group for Amy and I to participate in during her first year. These cookies just make it that much better. 😉 Happy holidays tea & tots ladies! 🙂
