Our Wedding Trip – Part 2

Part 2

In this post, I want to talk all about the phenomenal Riu Negril resort! Which, I can safely say was pretty much heaven on earth for us. ๐Ÿ˜‰ We loved every single moment that we spent on this resort and are just dying to return asap!

You already saw a tour of our room in the last post, so here’s a little photo tour of some of our favourite areas of the resort.

Let’s start with the lobby. The first incredible thing we saw upon our arrival, and sadly the last we saw on our way out.

ย

Now onto the courtyard just beyond the lobby

This is the Plaza bar. It was the hot spot at night as it faced the stage area where the nightly shows were helt. It was also where you could get some amazing lattes. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Plaza bar was located right on top of the pool bar. Even though we aren’t really drinkers, we actually spent a lot of time in that pool. It was just so comfy with the benches and tables right in the pool!

Restaurants! (one of the most important things for Chris!) ๐Ÿ˜‰

The food on this resort was hands down AMAZING!!! We had no problem finding healthy options when we wanted and also had no problem indulging when we wanted. Breakfasts were held here at the Green Island restaurant.

Chris loved breakfast. ๐Ÿ˜‰

ย

We ate a buffet supper most nights at the Green Island as well. Honestly we could have eaten there every single night – the food was THAT good!ย  But obviously on the wedding night, we ate at Shadows Steakhouse and then on our second-last night, we had a date night, just the 2 of us at Sir Andrews.ย  I stand very firm on the fact that I had THE BEST STEAK EVER at Sir Andrews that night.ย  It was our ‘fancy’ night, so no pictures. But dang it was good!!! We seem to have forgotten to snap shots of Sir Andrews as well, but here are a few of Shadows.ย  The lunch buffet was held here each night, and like I mentioned, we had our wedding dinner here on the top floor.

Now on to the BEACH!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Prior to leaving for our trip, I kept hearing how incredible the sunsets were in Negril. You can’t really believe something like that until you see it for yourself. We actually didn’t stop to watch it each night, but on our ‘date night’ we took advantage while we had some alone time and I snapped a lot ofย my beach shots along with many sunset ones at the same time. Enjoy!

Next up – What we actually did aside from getting married!! ๐Ÿ˜‰
